Milbi Festival: Showcasing Bundaberg's Finest

If you’re a local to the Bundaberg region, you should definitely mark your calendar for Milbi Festival. Running from the 27th of October to the 5th of November 2023, Milbi Festival promises a blend of First Nations entertainment, food, and culture that you won't want to miss.

The Sunset Launch marks the beginning of the 10-day Milbi Festival celebration, showcasing the Bundaberg Region's arts, culture, and natural beauty.
As the sun sets over the picturesque landscape, the Milbi Festival will kick off with a heartfelt Welcome To Country, followed by an introduction from the region's esteemed Elders, connecting everyone to the culture and history of the land.

The musical highlight of the evening is none other than the renowned singer and songwriter, Christine Anu. She'll serenade the audience with her nostalgic hits like ‘My Island Home’ and ‘Sunshine on a Rainy Day’.

But it's not just about the music. The event promises a tasty gastronomic experience with a variety of street food from local vendors. Plus, there's a chance to shop unique finds at a select number of market stalls.

Set against the backdrop of the ocean, attendees can relax on the grass under palm trees, soaking in the ambiance of this outdoor picnic-style gathering. A significant moment to look forward to is the handover of the 2023 message stick from the Bunya Mountains Murri Rangers to the Gidarjil Land and Sea Rangers.
