Presented by the LUME Melbourne and Grande Experiences, Connection features a staggering compilation of over 650 creations from 110 First Nations visual and musical artists.
Connection weaves together the songlines of our land's most remote regions, showcasing budding voices like Sarrita King and Konstantina, as well as spotlighting legendary artists such as Emily Kame Kngwarreye and Tommy Watson.
“Connection opens its doors wide. It is a platform for First Peoples to share their stories and perspectives, and it invites all Australians to appreciate and honour the Traditional Custodians of the land and the significance of their art and music as a living, vibrant, and enduring cultural tradition.”
One of the best parts about Connection is that each piece of art you’ll see has the direct support of the artists themselves, or their families. They're not just part of the process, they're benefiting from it too with well-deserved recognition and royalties. When you buy any of the original art or merch on display at Connection, you're directly supporting the featured artists and musicians.
Connection is now on display seven days a week, but will be wrapping up in October, 2023
